Atlanta's mayor signed an executive order to stop issuing E-Scooter permits in the city. This follows recent deaths and accidents that have brought up safety concerns.
Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms also stated she would be addressing these concerns with legislation at an upcoming City Council Meeting set for August 5th. The legislation is set "to address the long-term impacts these devices levy against the City's infrastructure and public safety."
For the E-Scooter fans, luckily this does not impact current companies operating in Atlanta.
