DHS Secretary Says No Security Threat For State Of The Union Address

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen says the government shutdown isn't presenting a security threat at the State of the Union address.  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent a letter to President Trump suggesting he postpone his January 29th address because of the shutdown.  The California Democrat suggested the delay because the Secret Service isn't getting paid which in her mind means there could be a security threat.

So far, there's no response from President Trump to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's call for the delay. Meanwhile, Trump kept up his Twitter attacks on Democrats yesterday saying, "they want nothing to do with the major Humanitarian Crisis on our Southern Border."
